Business Address: Corner Playwright Street and Fresco Place Clyde North

About the business:

The Orana Park will truly be one of a kind. Not only will it feature latest, state of the art play equipment, but it will also be home to incredible sculptural elements. Creativity is at the core of Orana and features in all parts of community life – including our wonderful park. A special experience is a promise for the entire family with every visit!

Exciting features of the park will include:

  • The magnificent “The Watering Spirit” water sculpture by Geoffrey Ricardo, collects rain in cups on a ‘Tree of Life’ for the local birds to drink and bathe in. The sculpture is connected to recycled water with a nearby push-button to trigger the flow of water from each of the plates. This function has been designed to provide both an element of both art and play.
  • The timber sculptures by Shlomit Moria, the artist behind the endearing carved wombat sculptures. In addition to the beloved wombats, Shlomit has also crafted several owls and toadstools which you will find throughout the park. These lovely creatures are the perfect addition to Orana as they connect the community to the original fauna of the land it exists upon, creating a sense of discovery and respect of Country, and facilitating an ongoing tie to the environment.

  • The “Skywalk”, the first to be installed in Melbourne’s South East, will undoubtedly be a highlight for many children, featuring a giant slide and two sky-high cubbies. Children will be able to weave their way up to the Skywalk through the Spacenet – a web style net which is a feature in itself.
  • The Carousel which is wheelchair accessible ensuring the playground can be experienced by everyone, the Carousel allows wheelchairs to be locked in with no need to transfer and can accommodate multiple children.
  • Swings, including a triple swing unit, a toddler swing and a basket swing (basket swings are accessible and cater to children with disabilities).
